The RF IDeas’ pcProx & AIR ID Wall Mount card readers allow users to use their building access card or other 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz tags for other forms of identification and security throughout the workplace. Engineered to work with nearly all proximity and contactless technologies, the wall mount readers provide error-free identification for over 300 million physical access cards and badges worldwide. Featuring plug-n-play functionality, no required software, and embedded configurable flash memory, the reader is ready to integrate with nearly all operating systems, applications, and embedded controllers.
The Wall Mount card readers are specifically designed for applications such as kiosks, time & attendance, point of sale, hoteling, meeting attendance, as well as others which require special mounting versatility. These readers mount easily with two screws and fit in a single-gang electrical box. They incorporate all the functionality of the standard desktop readers and are ideal for specialized card and badge reading locations. The reader can be configured to add keystrokes before and after the card’s data. The USB model emulates a keyboard and keystrokes the card’s ID and/or site code to the cursor’s location in the application. The serial version, available in RS-232, Ethernet, or USB Virtual Com, delivers the card’s data in ASCII.
In addition to the Wall Mount housing (shown), readers are available in a standard desktop format, USB Dongle, PCMCIA, Express Card, embedded keyboard, and OEM form factors. Using the optional RF IDeas Software Developer’s Kit (SDK), the pcProx & AIR ID families can easily be integrated with most applications.
